Capsule/DaftPunk/BeastieBoys – Verdict: Yes, it will blend.
This is fantastic. I always loved the 360º panoramic quicktime pictures of big events like the inauguration or an outside landscape. But now you can manipulate VIDEO the same way courtesy of Immersive Media. What an awesome way to capture a live show and all the nuances that make it so great (other than actually being there of course).
Watch for this tech to slowly make it’s way into band’s marketing and content production plans, and eventually become the norm.

It’s a streaming app which is cool because they own their own content, but it means we sure as hell won’t see this from anyone on the big 4 labels. Cheers to them for trying something new though, hope it keeps interest up for them. I’m still looking for an artist iPhone app to pass the “do I really want another iPhone app icon on my iphone” test. This one, sadly, does not.
The first instructional drum video I received was a Louie Bellson video from my Dad. Amazing musician and seemed like a really nice guy. Say hi to my Dad for me up there, Louie!
