OK, this is really incredible. The 4-track app for the iPhone was really great, but this takes the app to an entirely new level. The processing power that the iPad can do is really compelling if it can handle all the routing and fx sends as well as various processing such as eq, compression, reverb, delays, etc. I always hold out on first generation Apple releases, and this is going to make it that much more difficult to do so… wow.
This is fantastic. I always loved the 360º panoramic quicktime pictures of big events like the inauguration or an outside landscape. But now you can manipulate VIDEO the same way courtesy of Immersive Media. What an awesome way to capture a live show and all the nuances that make it so great (other than actually being there of course).
Watch for this tech to slowly make it’s way into band’s marketing and content production plans, and eventually become the norm.
